Sorry, but taping of some talk, and all soap operas and prime time dramas, are not open to the public.

The TV Parental Guidelines

TV-Y (All Children: This program is designed to be appropriate for all children.) Whether animated or live-action, the themes and elements of this program are specifically designed for a very young audience, including children ages 2-6. This program is not expected to frighten younger children.

TV-Y7 (Directed to Older Children: This program is designed for children aged 7 and above.) It may be more appropriate for children who have acquired the developmental skills needed to distinguish between make-believe and reality. Themes and elements in this program may include mild fantasy or comedic violence, or may frighten children under the age of 7. Therefore, parents may wish to consider the suitability of this program for their very young children. Note: For those programs where fantasy violence may be more intense or more combative than other programs in this category, such programs will be designated TV-Y7-FV. For programs designed for the entire audience, the general categories are:

TV-G (General Audience: Most parents would find this program suitable for all ages.) Although this rating does not signify a program designed specifically for children, most parents may let younger children watch this program unattended. It contains little or no violence, no strong language, and little or no sexual dialogue or situations.

TV-PG (Parental Guidance Suggested: This program contains material that parents may find unsuitable for younger children.) Many parents may want to watch it with their younger children. The theme itself may call for parental guidance, and/or the program contains one or more of the following: moderate violence (V), some sexual situations (S), infrequent coarse language (L), or some suggestive dialogue (D).

TV-14 (Parents Strongly Cautioned: This program contains some material that many parents would find unsuitable for children under 14 years of age.) Parents are strongly urged to exercise greater care in monitoring this program, and are cautioned against letting children under the age of 14 watch unattended. This program contains one or more of the following: intense violence (V), intense sexual situations (S), strong coarse language (L), or intensely suggestive dialogue (D).

TV-MA (Mature Audience Only: This program is specifically designed to be viewed by adults and, therefore, may be unsuitable for children under 17.) This program contains one or more of the following: graphic violence (V), explicit sexual activity (S), or crude indecent language (L).

CABLE IN THE CLASSROOM

Cable in the Classroom is a valuable resource for teachers. Lesson plans are periodically created for selected CEG TV Networks' original programs (which are then scheduled for late-night, commercial-free broadcasts for easy videotaping), as well as for CEG TV Networks' social initiatives by providing the latest information on what lesson plans are available (and when any corresponding commercial-free airings are scheduled).

For more information on Cable in the Classroom on one of the CEG TV Networks, send a fax to (702) 421-5379. Please make sure to include your email address, school phone and fax numbers, and a contact person. All requests must be on official school letterhead.

GIVE WHERE YOU LIVE

Give Where You Live is CEG TV Networks' national pro-social campaign committed to motivating and mobilizing people to make a positive impact in their communities through volunteering. The Give Where You Live curriculum package is designed to encourage educators to bring service learning into their classrooms, providing dynamic and engaging ways for students to learn through service in their communities. The curriculum is a free resource for educators who wish to implement a service-learning project into their curriculum.

GUIDELINES FOR PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS (PSAs)

CEG TV Networks provides a great public service to our broadcast community through programs like Southland Today and The Business Forum, which air on weekdays. CEG TV Networks also airs PSAs in different parts of the day in CEG TV Networks or in CEG TV Networks' commercial venue.

CEG TV Networks' priority in filling valuable airtime between its shows is to promote its programming and to fulfill contractual obligations for advertisers, program underwriters, and other CEG TV Networks' clients.

If your organization would like to submit a PSA for consideration by CEG TV Networks, the following rules apply:
You must be a nonprofit organization registered with the IRS; therefore, your Federal Tax ID is required. You may not be operating as a political organization.

CEG TV Networks does not accept PSAs from K-12 schools or related K-12 school organizations because there are simply too many of them for us to include without appearing to be discriminatory.

CEG TV Networks does not accept PSAs from religious groups because there are simply too many of them for us to include without appearing to be discriminatory.

Because it may take up to two (2) years to have your tape included in CEG TV Networks' periodic reorganization of its PSA inventory, tapes must be appropriate to air within the next two (2) years and cannot be "timely" in nature.

CEG TV Networks prefers spots to be 10 or 15 seconds in duration (these get a lot more air time – more visibility.) Spots over 1-minute will not be considered.

The videotape required is Beta SP or DVC Pro 50.
The production must be broadcast quality and professionally produced.

PSA tapes should be sent to:

Cairngorm Studios
848 North Rainbow Blvd., #324
Las Vegas, NV 89107

Be sure to include (1) company and (2) contact information with your tape.

Note: CEG TV Networks is under no obligation to return or acknowledge receipt of your tape. If your tape is selected for use, please do NOT expect a callback from CEG TV Networks. Due to the hundreds of requests we receive for PSAs, it is virtually impossible for us to personally answer inquiries concerning each and every tape we receive.
